As we celebrate our independence today, I got curious which saint is the patron of this great country. After a quick google search I found that The Virgin Mary more specifically Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception is ultimately the patron of the United States of America since 1864. If you travel to our nation's capital Washington D.C. you will find the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception, which is named after our patron. You can read more about America and the Immaculate Conception here.

I pray that everyone is having a wonderful Fourth of July filled with family, friends, and plenty of fun!
